The 1/3-mile kids’ run for children 10 and younger is Saturday evening, and the 2- and 10-mile runs are Sunday morning.
The 10-mile: A flat, fast, scenic and USATF-certified course. The race starts at TRHS, proceeds on paved streets surrounding Point Beach State Forest and includes a beautiful stretch through Neshotah Park and along the Lake Michigan shoreline. All miles are accurately marked, splits are given at 1 and 5 miles, and water/Gatorade stations are available at 2, 4, 6 and 8 miles.
Participants have the option to run the 10-mile as a three-person relay team.
Kids can enjoy refreshments after the Saturday race, and on Sunday, Subway subs, chili and other snacks and refreshments are available.
Race packets and official t-shirts can be picked up at the TRHS cafetorium 4-7 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and 6:15-7:30 a.m. on race day–Sunday, March 29.
The event benefits TRHS athletic and band boosters.
