Wetland restoration ecologists with the environmental consulting firm Stantec worked with Woodland Dunes and utilized funding from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to restore a mosaic of wetland and upland habitats on an 80-acre drained soybean field.


Senior wetland scientist Jon Gumtow focuses on the history, challenges, and partnerships associated with converting a soybean field to a high-quality wetland complex and the associated wildlife response.
