Motus Wildlife Tracking
March 16 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
A virtual program.
The Motus Wildlife Tracking System is an international collaborative research network that uses coordinated automated radio telemetry to facilitate research and education on the ecology and conservation of migratory animals. Hundreds of sites in the world–including Woodland Dunes–operate Motus stations that record birds and other animals fitted with transmitters.
The Woodland Dunes station records birds passing through during migration, and has recorded very interesting visitors! Director Jim Knickelbine describes the nature center’s station and tells about results of monitoring so far.
Registration is required by Friday, March 12. Call (920)793-4007 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Provide name, phone number and email address. A link to the presentation will be emailed to you.
